SIMPLE PAS TENSE

Past Tense ,

used to talk about an action that happened in the past .

jadi , past tense digunakan untuk berbicara tentang suatu tindakan yang terjadi di masa lalu.

Simple past tense also used to tell a story .(digunakan untuk bercerita )

The time signals that indicate such happening are yesterday , this morning just now , a few minute ago , long time ago , and last .

Sinyal waktu yang mengindikasikan terjadi tersebut kemarin, pagi ini baru saja, beberapa menit lalu, waktu lama, dan terakhir.

The pattern of verbal sentences
(+) S + V2 + Complement
(-) S + did not + V1 + Complement
(?) Did + S + V1 + Complement

Example :
(+) I went to Jakarta last week.
(-) I didn’t go to Jakarta last week
(?) Did I go to Jakarta last week?


The pattern of nominal sentences
(+) S + were/was + (adj,adv….)
(-) S + were/was + not + (adj, adv…)
(?) Were/was + S + (adj, adv…)
Example :
(+) They were very happy last night.
(-) They were not very happy last night
(?) Were they happy last night?
